IAAR Directory surpasses 41,000 Certificates

Arlington, VA, October 11, 2011: The Independent Association of Accredited Registrars (IAAR) today announced that its free online Directory of Certified Companies surpassed 41,000 listed organizations. Part of the association’s response to industry requests for a central database detailing locations and scopes of certified companies, the database includes only certificates issued by accredited certification bodies, which helps assure conformance with internationally accepted certification practices and procedures.

With its enhanced capability to search by company name and certificate numbers, this tool provides access to real time data on thousands of certified companies. To date, industry stakeholders from over 140 countries and territories have accessed the directory. Directory traffic continues to increase as more companies use this database as a simple and effective way to manage supply bases and validate certifications accredited to a management system standard.
