IAAR Directory of Certified Companies

Arlington, VA, October 11, 2011: The Independent Association of Accredited Registrars (IAAR) today announced that its free online Directory of Certified Companies surpassed 41,000 listed organizations. Part of the association’s response to industry requests for a central database detailing locations and scopes of certified companies, the database includes only certificates issued by accredited certification bodies, which helps assure conformance with internationally accepted certification practices and procedures.

“The IAAR Directory is the most comprehensive listing of certified companies available today,” stated IAAR President, Pierre Salle’. “As the preeminent source of information on certified companies, it attracts over 1,100 viewers per month from interested parties around the globe.”

With its enhanced capability to search by company name and certificate numbers, this tool provides access to real time data on thousands of certified companies. To date, industry stakeholders from over 140 countries and territories have accessed the directory. Directory traffic continues to increase as more companies use this database as a simple and effective way to manage supply bases and validate certifications accredited to a management system standard.

An upcoming iPhone/Smartphone application will enable users to photograph a certificate and check for database inclusion. “The true value of any directory lies in its accessibility, ease of searching, and accurate data,” states Jerry Norris, CEO of jadian enterprises, the solution provider who developed and currently maintains the IAAR Directory. “The power of applications on smart devices, coupled with the continuing growth and credibility of the IAAR Directory, makes this an extremely valuable next step.”
